Naturally caffeine free, this South African plant from the acacia family is completely distinct from the tea plant, camelia sinensis. The only similarity between the two are the way in which their infusions are prepared and enjoyed.

This South African shrub with its fine needle-like leaves is harvested in summer. Its leaves undergo a process of fermentation that is identical to that employed to make black tea.

The longer it is left to infuse the more pronounced its taste. And don't worry about it becoming bitter, it contains no tannins! Enjoy throughout the day.
